B-Roy's comeback and the amnesty clause.

If B-Roy plays as a starter for Minnesota this season do you think he will be anywhere near the player he was before surgery? After seeing Kobe post procedure I think the answer is emphatically YES. I wish him the best, but I do think it is wrong that the Trailblazers do not get first dibs on his services since we are paying for him to be retired. What are your thoughts on B-Roy or the whole amnesty clause rule?

  1. I think it's wrong to be contractually obligated to pay a player actively on another teams roster period. I think retirement statements like Brandon's should have mandatory waiting periods before they can reenter the league and the team that lost them should have the first bid for their services if they choose it. Blazers had to amnesty him to free up cap space so it was the right choice for the current CBA. I think his career will be similar to Jordan playing for the Wizards...couple of huge games and no elevation or speed anymore. NO meniscus is no meniscus..that's gotta hurt
