Blazer action

It's nice to see some action on the Free agent front by Trailblazer management. I'm happy to see us sign J.J. but I am disappointed to see only a 1 year deal, I would have liked to see at least a 3 year deal. So if he plays well this year he will be a restricted free agent so we can match the max offer he will be given by someone. I'm excited to see the moves over the next week. Hope we can sign a couple good players before Batum is given an official offer sheet. Then we can go over the cap to sign him.

  1. Signing for 1 year was actually a smart move. We retain his bird rights after the first year and can match any offers next summer if we think it's a good move. I'm glad he's here and a one year contract insures he wasn't just playing 19 games for a contract at the end of last season. This will give LaMarcus fresh legs and the way it looks, we will have a pretty strong bench unit.
