So if the Knicks got #1, did Forbes deduct the harrasment suit filed against Isiah Thomas? Or does that not apply to standard team financing?
i think there is a lot of merit in the report; at least as of a year ago. while it hasn't been substantiated by the nba or the teams, Forbes is pretty well regarded for its accuracy.

The data should reflect the salary cap year for 2009-10, which concluded on June 30, 2010.You're correct, though, that the team has more than re-invested in player salary with the extensions/contracts you mention. The evaluation now is whether or not that money was spent wisely.
