Boulders on a Mountain...

By RipCityRevival Posted in: Blazers
I once took a day trip over the Elk Horn Mountains in Eastern Oregon. When we had gotten near the top we stopped at a view point to take some pictures of the Sumpter Valley. There was a grassy clearing just off the road and I couldn't help but roll a few bolders down it. It was AWESOME watching the boulders gain momentum, crashing into stumps and bouncing over them. The boulders would collide with trees and bounce around them continuing down the side of the mountain. After the boulders disappeared into the trees, you could hear it continuing down crashing through the brush, smashing into trees, but never stopping. They could not be stopped. Their course may have changed, but they were not stopped until they reached their goal. That is what I see for this Blazer team. If they had squeaked by Denver, or this blow-out had come with Mello on the bench, I may have remained skeptical, but that wasn't the case. Houston will give us a battle, but I see Portland moving on victorious. I'm not saying they will win the Championship, but short of fatigue itself, nothing is going to stop them. It will not be Kobe, it will not be Yao. The only thing stopping Portland this season, will be fatigue, and THAT is pretty darn impressive. Amazing season, and the Playoffs look promising. 1. You see, huge rocks don't have to deal with NBA refs. We better not get jacked like we've had in the past playoffs. I sure hope the NBA has rooted out the cheating officials. Those guys burned us bad!
