We've been reminding everyone who is coming to the game against the Lakers to #WearRed ever since the announcement that the Trail Blazers would be wearing new alternate red jerseys on opening night. The response has been great, so much so that I fully expect to see tracers well after the game is over.

The players, for their part, seem to be getting into the spirit of #WearRed as well. I have a suspicion that Damian Lillard is going to wear these Red Adidas Top 10 2000's tonight in his NBA regular season debut, but that's just a suspicion.

What I can confirm is that JJ Hickson will be wearing Nike Air Foamposite One's "Metallic Red" in tonight's game. Foamposites, one of the most popular Nike models among sneakerheads, don't find their way onto NBA courts very often, at least not these days. But the cyclical nature of fashion has players like Rajon Rondo, Delonte West and Paul George, guys who came up in the late-90's when Foamposites first hit the market, bringing Foamposites back to the hardwood.  JJ Hickson now joins that illustrious group of trendsetters.
