Trail Blazers Weekend: Jeffries Kills A Gator, Matthews Hangs With Ducks
By caseyholdahl
Training camp starts in a few weeks and a lot of players are already back in the area preparing for the 2012-13 season. But the guys are also squeezing in some off the court activities in their last days of vacation before turning their full attention to basketball. Here's what some of them were up to this weekend ...
Recently retired NBA bigman Brad Miller apparently stars on a reality outdoors show called Country Boys Outdoors in which he and a fellow named Jon Brunson "travel the world hunting big game animals." You can check out
some of their exploits on YouTube.
(Hat tip to the guys at The Basketball Jones for this gem)

Closer to home, Wesley Matthews took the trip down I-5 to take in the Fresno State vs. Oregon game at Autzen Stadium. Probably not as dangerous as hunting gators, though there's room for debate.

The combination of great weather and the second annual Maurice Lucas Foundation fundraiser at the Oregon Gold Club gave two Trail Blazers big men, LaMarcus Aldridge and Meyers Leonard, cause to hit the links at the Lake Oswego course.

While some of his new teammates were enjoying some time off the court, Victor Claver was getting in his first workout as a Trail Blazer.

Finally, with this being the first week of the NFL season, plenty of players spent time on their couches Sunday rooting on their favorite teams.
