The Trail Blazers moved to 2-1 for the Las Vegas Summer League after defeating the Atlanta Hawks 84-78 Thursday night. And the big story, as if you didn't already know, was the performance of Damian Lillard, who finished the night with 31 points on 11 of 22 shooting, seven assists, three rebounds and
one monstrous dunk over Atlanta's Keith Benson.
But Portland's other two rookies had nice games as well. Meyers Leonard, feeling much better after dealing with a bout of garbage gut in Tuesday night's loss to the Rockets, finished one point shy of a double-double with a nine-point, 13-rebound performance (though committing just one foul might be his most impressive stat of the night).
And last but not least, Will Barton turned in his best performance of the Summer League, finishing with 14 points and five rebounds in 33 minutes. Barton also finished with two steals, one of which turned was capped off by an And 1 dunk in transition, the video which you can see above. Barton's finish takes a backseat to Lillard's on this night, but it's still a great jam on its' own merits. Guys who are all arms and legs, like Barton, bring an aesthetic to dunking that makes for great replays.
