No New Unis

By caseyholdahl
A viewer on today's edition of Just Casey noted there was a rumor that the Trail Blazers were going to modify, or all out change, their current uniforms for next season. I had heard nothing of the sort, but I don't typically get apprised of such things, so I figured maybe there was something to it.

Turns out, there's nothing to it.

Team owner Paul Allen, via his Twitter account, was asked the same question, maybe even by the same person, about the team debuting a new jersey next season. To which he replied ...
No big @pdxtrailblazers jersey changes for next unis we have.  Important work to do on draft, free agents, mgmt etc.
So there you go. If Mr. Allen likes what we already have, you can be sure they ain't changing. Though notice he tweeted no "big" jersey changes, not no changes at all. So for those of you hoping for something different, there's still a chance ...

  1. Don't change or modify the jerseys! We have one of the best jerseys in the NBA. If they want something different, make an alternate jersey. We have out black and red for away. And we have our normal white and our rip city white and our retro jerseys.. We don't really NEED anything different. But if anything, just give us another home jersey that we can wear once in a while.

I like what Allen says though, we have more important things to worry about. Draft, Free agents, managment.

  2. The only thing I would want to see added to the jerseys is add a pinwheel to the back of the jerseys, centered above the player name.

  3. Blazers To Tweak Red Alternate Jerseys In 2012-13
Portland Trail Blazers COO Sarah Mensah said in a Tuesday interview that the team plans to keep its current home and road jersey styles for the 2012-2013 season but the team's third look will get a minor makeover.

"We made some very, very minor tweaks to our alternate road red jerseys for next season," Mensah said. "That jersey will likely only be worn a handful of times. It's not a wholesale change in design."
