Wojnarowski: Jeffries Joins Denver's Front Office

By caseyholdahl

The Trail Blazers waived 11-year veteran forward Jared Jeffries the day after the final game of the 2012-13 regular season after averaging 1.2 points and 1.6 rebounds in 38 games. But Jeffries' status as a trusted veteran, sneaker aficionado, charge-taker and provider of comic relief made up for his lack of on-court production.

And today we learn from NBA oracle Adrian Wojnarowski that Jared Jeffries is hanging up his Jordans (or to be more correctly, he's shipping them all to the storage facility he rents in Florida) and joining the Denver Nuggets' front office.
Jared Jeffries, an 11-year NBA veteran, is transitioning out of his playing career and has accepted a front-office job with the Denver Nuggets, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

He will begin his post-playing career centered on a scouting role, sources said.

Jeffries, 31, has a strong history with new Nuggets general manager Tim Connelly, who worked in the Washington front office when Jeffries played with the Wizards from 2002-06.
All the best of luck to Jared. May he have the same success scouting as he did hunting an alligator with Brad Miller.
