There are all kinds of experiences rookies go through their first season in the NBA. Nothing can prepare you for the rigors of an NBA season, from fighting for position against grown men to playing four games in five nights, so the only way to truly learn what it's like is to go through the experience.
And the only way to know what NBA rookies go through is by sitting down and talking to them, as five fans found out thanks to the Burgerville "Meet the Rookies" sweepstakes. Five winners and a guest got the chance to dine with rookies Meyers Leonard and Joel Freeland in a private room at the new Burgerville location in Tigard to find out just what goes into making it through your first NBA season. And to make the rookies feel at home, Burgerville brought back the limited-time only Blazers Burger as a menu option, because when you're a rookie, you need all the support you can get.
