Damian Lillard is a bit of a tease when it comes to his sneakers. Often times he'll warm up in one pair, only to switch to another pair before the opening tip (which actually isn't too uncommon a practice among NBA players). Usually he ends up wearing the adidas Rose 773
, though sometimes he'll wear adidas Top 10 2000
. And recently, after months of hesitation, Lillard has been wearing the adidas Rose 3
, which he did in Monday night's game against the Timberwolves in Minnesota.
But sometimes, I guess one pair of shoes per game isn't enough. During the first half of Monday night's game, Lillard wore the "Home" Rose 3 colorway for the first time in a game, as you can see here.
It's a good look. But for one reason or another, Lillard wasn't feeling the "Home" colorway, as he changed into the "Brenda" colorway of the same shoe for the second half.
It's not unheard of for a player to switch shoes mid-game, but usually they change the shoe model, not just the colorway. My best guess is Lillard didn't have the "Home" colorway broken-in to his liking, so he went back to the "Brenda" colorway at halftime, which I assume is the exact same shoe he wore in games against the Jazz on Friday and Saturday.
But yet another change could be on the horizon, as Lillard asked his followers on Twitter ...

Since he posed the question on Twitter, I assume he's going to wear these sometime soon. If I had to venture a guess, I'd imagine he'd try these on for size during the Rookie/Sophomore "Rising Stars Challenge". But that's just a guess.
