Aldridge, Teammates React To All-Star Selection

By caseyholdahl Posted in: Blazers, Clippers, LaMarcusAldridge

On Thursday, LaMarcus Aldridge was named a Western Conference All-Star reserve for the second-consecutive season. Aldridge, who is averaging 20.8 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.3 blocks and 1.0 steals a game, joins Tim Duncan, James Harden, David Lee, Tony Parker, Zach Randolph and Russell Westbrook as Western Conference reserves.

With the selection, Aldridge becomes the tenth Trail Blazer to be selected to play in the midseason exhibition at least twice.

Here's what Aldridge's teammates, Paul Allen, and Aldridge himself had to say immediately following the announcement.

  2. Lets Face it alot of people think steven curry should of got it but aldridge out of all those power forwards selected minus maybe Tim has the best all around game. I mean there all good for really Blake griffen as a starter is a joke. I like the kid but he is one dimensional lucky he lives in LA. If Blake played for blazers he would not have been selected just saying.

  3. Always deserving players who don't make the roster. I think what it came down to is that coaches are somewhat reluctant to put two players on from the same team. So when Lee got in, Curry didnt. They don't need anymore guards on the roster anyway.
