There are a couple of plays on the NBA's Top Rookie Players of 2012
highlight reel that are debatable (the alley-oop from Ricky Rubio to Blake Griffin from the Rookie/Sophomore game has no business being on this reel), but I suppose that's kind of the point of Top 10 lists.
But as long as Damian Lillard
makes the cut, I'm cool with it. I thought, after seeing a routine play from a defenseless exhibition game at No. 8, that Lillard's Las Vegas Summer League posterization
might make the list. But the NBA went more tradition, opting for Dame's game-winner against the Hornets as the No. 4 rookie play of 2012.
And while it wasn't a game-winner, per say, Lillard's stepback three to ice the win
against the Knicks in New York City has to be an early favorite to make the Top 10 Rookie Plays of 2013.
