Allen: GM Search Down To Four

By caseyholdahl

Yesterday, both Jason Quick and Chris Haynes reported that the search for a general manager was down to four finalists: David Morway, Neil Oshay,  Jeff Bower and Tony Dileo. All experienced, qualified candidates.

And today the man himself, Mr. Paul G. Allen, confirms that the search is down to four. Via his twitter account:
GM search has made progress, I have interviewed four candidates in person, good talks, doing more reference checks now.
Great news, and somewhat impressive considering a tweet from Mr. Allen five hours prior noted he was on safari in the Kalahari.

  1. Hey Casey: I would have rather it had been Chad, but getting a GM will make a lot of fans rest easier, I don't know why; the players plays about the same regardless of who the stuff shirt is that is in the GM's position.

  2. Getting a general manager place will help when FA starts.

  3. @trackjack: Why would it help in FA, don't you feel that Chad is capable of running Free agency. FA is just finding your available targets then getting them to sign. Chad or any other GM is on the same level.
