It's been seven months since we launched Trailblazers.tv (or TBTV for short), and we're still learning the ropes roughly 2,000 archived videos later. While it's still a work in progress, it's already come a long way from me sweating bullets and mumbling and staring blankly into a camera during the first episode of Just Casey (click that link at your own risk).

Since then, we added new shows like Sportlandia and Road Trippin' With Big John while tweaking others. We've let you see what the media sees at practice. You've watched the highs and lows of the season live, from the announcement of the acquisition of Gerald Wallace to the press conference announcing Greg Oden would be out for the season. You were transported electronically to Wesley Matthews' house in Wisconsin. You met Nicolas Batum's cats in Paris. You saw Mike Rice receive a thong in a Charlotte hotel room. In fact, you've seen the inside of a lot of hotel rooms. And even more of Mike Rice.

Hopefully you'll be seeing more of everything, or at least more of the good stuff. But honestly, we're still learning about what it is that you want to see. Sometimes I'll put together a video that I'm sure will draw tons of views, only to have 50 people end up watching it. Other times we'll cut up something quirky on a lark that pulls far better numbers than a more polished piece. You've got very particular tastes Trail Blazers fans.

The best way, at least as far as I can tell, to figure out what types videos you want from us in the future is by looking at what you've already enjoyed. Having said that, here's the Top 10 most viewed videos since TBTV's inception. Enjoy, and excelsior.

9) Three Goggles Mania, 4,390 views

  1. You guys are awesome! You have:
    - created an online community virtually from scratch;
    - evangelized effectively and reached people who perhaps weren't fans before;
    - made it possible for folks with limited broadcast options to follow the team;
    - helped fans become better acquainted with players; and
    - illuminated some of the darker corners of the sport.

    As you continue to get better and better at what you do, I hope the informality and spontaneity of your rookie season is never lost!

  5. Fan makes half court shot? Really? The only way to explain that getting so many views is that it gives hope to everyone who wishes to one day attempt that shot! No surprise seeing Patty Cakes #1, I must have watched that video a dozen times, the spontaneous meeting with Wesley in the streets of PDX was priceless.

  6. I think the "fan hits halfcourt shot" video must have been picked up by NBA.com or something. I mean, it's cool and all, but people hit halfcourt shots all the time. though they don't usually win a new truck because of it.

    By the way, the guy who made that shot was also at our game against the Magic IN Orlando. Dude had a pretty good season.
