I'm not entirely sure how much you can take from a 45 second clip, but at first glance, LaMarcus is a darn good actor! I've seen how hard it is to get guys to deliver lines believably during media day, and that's in a much more relaxed setting. I almost believed LaMarcus and Penny Marshall were an actual item.

Tonight's game against the Lakers (7:30 PM Pacific start time on TNT, or more accurately, whenever the early game, in this case Celtics v. Mavericks, gets over) marks the halfway point of the season. And with the All-Star break just a few days away, you're likely to see a bunch of mid-season reviews over the next week. NBA.com's Sekou Smith, like so many teachers before an extended holiday, already has his grading out of the way, and he's given the Trail Blazers' performance this season a B-.

Seeing LaMarcus Aldridge limp off the court Tuesday night might be the only event that took place in the Rose Garden this week that was more painful to watch than Portland's 11-point fourth quarter in Thursday night's loss to the Clippers. As tough as it was to watch, it was far tougher to live through.

There’s a certain amount of validation one feels after being named to an All-Star team. Confidence, for the most part, has to come from within, but there is something to be said for being recognized by your peers as one of the best players in the league.
But there are two sides to that coin. While the ego boost that comes with being named one of the best of the best is nice, it also brings a level of added attention from your opponents, something LaMarcus Aldridge, just one day removed from being named a Western Conference All-Star for the first time in his career, experienced Friday night in the form of constant double-teams from the Hornets in New Orleans.

Not many folks out there likely consider February their favorite month, at least among those of us residing in the northern hemisphere.
LaMarcus Aldridge might be an exception. While he may enjoy the sun of the summer months to the wind and rain of February, he surely takes great pleasure in his performances during the second month of the year.
