2006-2007 Team Bio

The 2006-07 Trail Blazers club made an 11-victory improvement over the previous season, but second-year Head Coach Nate McMillan had to employ a patched-together lineup in the season's final month and watch as Portland missed post-season action for the fourth straight season and only the fifth time in the last 31 years.
Extended absences because of injuries by the team's leading scorer and rebounder Zach Randolph, center Joel Przybilla and talented rookies LaMarcus Aldridge and Brandon Roy were contributing factors. The Blazers posted their longest win streak of five in a row in December but were never above the break-even mark after the ninth game of the season.
Zach Randolph, who led the Blazers in scoring and rebounding for a club-record fourth straight season, averaged 23.6 points and 10.1 rebounds. He wound up as the only player in the league with a 20-10 average for the year.
Brandon Roy, the NBA rookie leader in points, assists and minutes, earned T-Mobile Rookie of the Year honors, netting 127 of 128 first-place votes, just one shy of being the third unanimous choice in league history. He was a unanimous pick on the T-Mobile All-Rookie first team. LaMarcus Aldridge, also a T-Mobile All-NBA Rookie First Team selection, led all rookies in blocked shots and was fourth in rebounding.
