Trail Blazers: Trail Blazers v Timberwolves Preview
"I've always been a big fan (of the Blazers), so in some ways it means a lot," he said after hitting five 3-pointers. "But more than anything we wanted to stop that 16-game losing streak."

Trail Blazers: The "Opportunity" Road Trip
"Along with Aldridge and Felton, there is another Portland player who I think is a key to this trip, and it might surprise you. You will be seeing more and more of Elliot Williams, as he has proven to Nate McMillan that he plays the right way. For Nate, as you probably know, that's huge. I had a long conversation with Nate, about Elliot, before we boarded our flight on Tuesday morning. There's a budding love affair growing there. He's beginning to trust Williams, and I think you'll see his minutes increase on this trip. Elliot has 48 points in 55 minutes in the last seven games, and continues to grow into a player who can get to the rim and break down a defense. The Blazers don't have many of those."

Oregon Live: Young Trail Blazers head to 'finishing school'
"He's certainly earned the right to get some minutes," Blazers coach Nate McMillan said. "I think he can play. I like his energy, his scrap, his aggressiveness on both ends of the floor. It's something fresh ... and I like what he's giving us."

Portland Tribune: Ex-Blazer assistant sold on city
“I’d rather come here than go to Hawaii in the summertime,” he said. “It’s always 80-85 degrees, no bugs ... you stop off on the side of the road and get all kinds of fruit, you can have a good time outside ... it’s a place we just like a lot. And yet every time I come here, I feel stressed out because I’m trying to get a win.”

Rip City Project: Game 39 Preview: Portland Trail Blazers at Minnesota Timberwolves
"Love has had pretty excellent games in his last two. He lit up Portland for 42 and 10 on Saturday, and then did basically the same thing to the Clippers with 39 and 17. That the Wolves won both of those games is not a coincidence. Stopping Kevin Love should be the Blazers’ top priority. What Portland really has to do is keep Love from getting hot from deep. This season, Love is shooting the three very well. On Saturday, the Blazers let Love destroy them with the three ball. If they want to have a chance on Wednesday, they can’t let that happen again."

Blazersedge: Preview: Trail Blazers vs. Timberwolves
"Adjustment #2 would be Kevin Love defense. The guy is good. The guy is not Kobe or LeBron. 42 points is a tad...excessive. That's what he pasted on the Blazers Saturday night. Remember how we said the Hornets played obvious defense on Monday, committing extra men to every Portland scorer as if this were a video game? The Blazers ought to do that to Love tonight. Let somebody else beat you with scoring. Send the house against the star."

Ball Don't Lie: Dwight Howard might be creating the worst trade deadline ever
"Poor NBA fans. This time last year you had one Carmelo Anthony rumor per day to look forward to in anticipation of the trade deadline, and then the Deron Williams shocker soon after. Then, late on a busy trade deadline day, Kendrick Perkins weirdly went to Oklahoma City. This time around? With just over a week to go before the March 15th trade deadline, there's absolutely nothing in the air unless Orlando completely reverses its stated course on Howard. Trade deadline day might be completely overshadowed by the opening round of the NCAA men's basketball bracket, and you have Orlando to blame for that."

Ball Don't Lie: LaMarcus Aldridge put a bird on a Portland jersey for Carrie Brownstein
"However, it appears that Aldridge's relationship with the show goes beyond that one appearance. Carrie Brownstein, legendary musician and "Portlandia" co-creator/star, met up with Aldridge before last Thursday's home game against the Miami Heat. As you can see in the photo above, courtesy of the Blazers' official Twitter account, LMA presented Brownstein with a special jersey honoring the series' most famous sketch, "Put a Bird on It." It is entirely possible that this jersey is now the most Portland thing in the world. I have it on good authority that one biker who hangs out at Stumptown Roasters is willing to buy it for as many as nine carabiners."

The Basketball Jones: San Antonio couple name their twins after Tim Duncan and Tony Parker
"That’s right — twin boys from San Antonio named Duncan and Parker. You know, like Tim Parker and Tony Duncan or whatever their names are from that one team. At least we know they will be winners dedicated to the team concept of eating and sleeping at the same time, which will be huge for the parents. Just keep Parker away from the girls until he’s out of preschool."

DIME: The 5 NBA Teams That Must Make A Move At The Trade Deadline
"The Blazers couldn’t come to terms to extend Nicolas Batum, which means they don’t think that highly of his skill-set and can make him expendable. When a top-five point guard like Rondo is on the market, how can the Blazers not pounce on the opportunity to pair him up with L.A.? The ball is on the Blazers’ court to drastically change the fortunes of a franchise that’s struck out of luck for far too long."

DIME: Daily Fantasy Basketball Diagnosis: 3.7
"Andrew Bynum finished with 30 points, 14 rebounds, two assists and three blocks last night. He shot 72 percent (13-18) from the field, 80 percent (4-5) from the free-throw line and had three turnovers. Bynum is currently on a 10-game streak of double-doubles and has produced top 20 averages this season, making him one of the bigger exceeder of fantasy expectations in the 2011-12 NBA season."

    SLAM: Post Up: Charlotte’s Win
"When a team’s lost 21 of its last 22, and your team has Dwight Howard, you aren’t supposed to lose. Orlando didn’t get that message, apparently, since the Magic got blown out of the gym in Charlotte by the now 5-31 Bobcats, who shot 48 percent, including a season-high 29 points from Corey Maggette. Head coach Paul Silas got ejected in the second quarter with his team trailing by 18, and the Bobcats proceeded to go on a 20-0 run that lasted through halftime. Oh, and that Howard fella? He finished with 15 points and 17 rebounds (a typical night for DH12) but rookie Bismack Biyombo played him tough, racking up 10 points, 15 rebounds, and 7 blocks—he may not have matched Dwight’s production, but he nearly neutralized it. The Magic shot 39 percent from the field, turned it over 18 times, and had no answer for Gerald Henderson in the fourth quarter (he finished with 16). Charlotte doesn’t win all that often, so we ought to celebrate when they do!"

ESPN: Minnesota should do what it takes to get Crawford.
"Fiction. Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio are untouchable. Derrick Williams, if he is to be traded, is worth far more than Crawford's twilight, and the Wolves' frontcourt would fall apart without Nikola Pekovic. What's left? Michael Beasley? Luke Ridnour? Their line of suitors doesn't exactly go around the block. If the Wolves can get something for them, they'd obviously do it. But a trade is supposed to make both teams better. Portland doesn't need what the Wolves have to give."
