Trail Blazers: Season In Review: Gerald Wallace
"But Gerald was a great player and this trade was exactly what he needed. After coming off the bench his first eight games as a Trail Blazer, Crash was revitalized in Rip City and gave Portland a reliable second option behind LaMarcus Aldridge. Not only did the Blazers flourish with him in the starting lineup (11-5) but when the competition got the toughest, Gerald was at his best, especially in April. That month saw the Mavericks, Thunder, Lakers and Grizzlies visit the Rose Garden, only to have Crash power Portland past them all with averages of 17.3 points and 7 rebounds."

Trail Blazers: Patty Mills Makes Memories With Fans
"The Mills following has grown into a phenomenon in the Rose City. There’s just something about a rambunctious and eternally-happy Aussie that brings a smile to your face. Oh, and did I mention yet that he takes his fans to concerts? I’m not talking a school choir concert, I’m talking floor seats to the Usher OMG tour."

Trail Blazers: Offseason Trades, Are They Likely?
"I'm a big fan of Dave over at Someone once told me that he meditates over the Trail Blazers while staring out over a lake in Idaho. Now, I'm not sure if that's 100 percent fact, or embellished, but some of the work he puts out makes me believe there's at least a slice of truth there."

Rip City Project: What's Next For Brandon Roy?
"Think about it like this: Brandon comes back next season, whenever that may be, and is a little more healthy, and a lot more understanding of what is role is going to be. Portland’s bench, in this scenario, is made up of Greg Oden, Nicolas Batum, and Brandon Roy, add in Rudy Fernandez or whatever mid-level shooter Portland can get in a deal for him, athletic guys like Chris Johnson and Elliot Williams, and whatever comes in the Draft, and the Blazer second unit might just be one of the best in the league."

Blazersedge: The State Of The Blazers
"Some would point to Gerald Wallace as new momentum but he's less of a replacement engine and more of a wedge under the back tire, preventing the team from rolling backwards at a precipitous rate. So too the development of LaMarcus Aldridge. He's not enough to get the car going again. He's the dude they sent out back to push. Together they've saved the team from doom but further progress towards the summit isn't coming via the status quo. Maybe you'll get a few feet and a new place to stick the wedge, but that's it."

Oregon Live: Trail Blazers GM search: Former finalist Randy Pfund says he would still be interested
“I'm sure if there was interest, I would certainly look into it … assuming those guys haven't lost my number,'' Pfund said with a chuckle. “We'll see if anything develops.''

Ball Don't Lie: Jason Terry’s championship trophy tattoo may not last long
"Terry is well known for his superstitions (including wearing five pairs of socks during games), so it's possible that this reason is not all hogwash. On the other hand, saying that it will hurt more to have the tattoo removed than to keep it is only true in the physical sense, because the entire point of this motivational tool is that meeting the accomplishment won't make JET look like a fool."

The Basketball Jones: Scottie Pippen continues Bulls smear campaign
"Unfortunately for Bulls fans, Pippen’s pretty much right about all of this. Joakim Noah failed to make plays in the Eastern Conference finals, Carlos Boozer was inconsequential when he wasn’t outright bad, and Tom Thibodeau probably should have played Kurt Thomas more than he did. Outside of the Jordan/LeBron thing, Pippen’s right about the problems the Bulls encountered, especially against the Heat."

SLAM: Mock: Jonas Valanciunas, No. 9
"Valanciunas is by no means a finished product either (he’ll turn 20 next May) and like most young bigs will surely need to improve his strength and low post footwork to succeed at this level. But his length and athleticism address some of the Bobcats’ immediate needs while his skill set and potential could solve some future ones as well."

SLAM: Dwight Howard Looking to ‘Start Own Path’ in Orlando
“I’m not trying to run behind nobody like Shaq or be behind somebody else,” Howard said, referencing Shaquille O’Neal’s decision to leave the Magic following the 1995-96 season and sign with the Los Angeles Lakers. “I want to start my own path and I want people to follow my path and not just follow somebody else’s path. I want to have my own path, and I want to start that here in Orlando. But I can’t do it alone. Not only do I need the right teammates, but I need the city behind me. That’s the only way it’s going to get done. We can change this small city that we have — this small market that we have — and we can make it a big market."

ESPN: What's the biggest X-factor in the Finals for Dallas?
“Zone defense. Dallas played more of it than any team in the league this season, and it was effective when they deployed it against Miami. That said, you know that Erik Spolestra, LeBron and Wade are watching tape until their eyes bleed right now and figuring out how to force Dallas to play them straight-up. How much zone Dallas plays and how effective it is will both be interesting to watch in this series."
