Trail Blazers: Season In Review: Marcus Camby
"While the stats showed Camby's game taking the understandable route for a 15 year veteran, they don't define him as a player. As we all know there are certain tangible and intangible attributes that Camby brings to the table which can not be found in a box score. For starters, take a look at his passing ability; no big man in the league possesses a better knack for throwing the alley-oop pass. Camby was an immense reason why the Trail Blazers led the league in alley-oops and why LaMarcus Aldridge became such a force offensively. Yes, LA can spin at any moment for the dunk but Camby's ability to put that ball on a dime is what keeps the defenses up at night, fearing they will see that play thrown at them all game long. Along with his passing skills, Marcus is a team leader and always one of the first guys off the bench to recognize a great play or to give a word of encouragement. The team responds to him both on and off the court and you would be hard pressed to find a team that did anything in the playoffs without veteran leadership."

Oregon Live: You be the GM: Wesley Matthews
"The high point of the playoffs for Matthews when he singlehandedly outscored the Mavs 14-10 to start Game 3, tying the franchise record for three-pointers made in a quarter during the postseason. His 16 first-quarter points were more than he scored in the first two games combined."

Columbian: Aldridge is robbed once again
"Neither Stoudemire nor Aldridge were true centers this year, but both played in the middle enough to be considered for that position on a year-end team. The difference is, Aldridge led the Blazers to a 48-34 record, which included a 30-22 mark against the Western Conference (the Knicks were just 14-16 vs. the West). He also played his best basketball immediately after three-time All-Star teammate Brandon Roy announced he’d be sitting out indefinitely — going on to win two Western Conference Player of the Week honors and Player of the Month for February."

Hoops Hype: Real Madrid Very Interested In Blazers G Rudy Fernandez
"Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has a crush on Rudy Fernandez and during the last Euroleague Final Four played in Barcelona the guard was told that if he leaves the NBA, Madrid will open the doors for him, red carpet included."

Ball Don't Lie: Could Rick Adelman work as the the Lakers’ new coach?
"Well, he does encourage spacing, ball movement, and offensive stylings away from the ball. Of all the NBA coaches that don't encourage the triple post offense, Adelman might have the best spacing and movement of any sideline stalker out there. Toss in his gravitas and history (The former Blazers guard has coached four different NBA teams, and three of them weren't terrible), and you can get giddy at the idea of someone who knows what he's doing asking for a bit more than for Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol to run another screen and roll. Because that particular play killed the Lakers during this year's postseason."

The Basketball Jones: Carlos Boozer: Chris who?
"Asked about facing Miami’s Big Three, he responded, “They have two great players in D. Wade and LeBron. We look forward to the challenge.’’

SLAM: Dan Gilbert’s 14-Year Old Son to Represent Cavs at Draft Lottery
“Nick Gilbert, the 14-year-old son of Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert, will represent the Cavs on stage at the NBA Draft lottery Tuesday in Secaucus, N.J. Nick is the 2011 National Children’s Tumor Foundation Ambassador. The CTF is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of more than one in 3,000 children born with Neurofibromatosis, a nerve disorder that causes tumors to grow anywhere in the body at any time."

    ESPN: Daily Dime
"I'm disappointed," said Ainge, the Celtics president of basketball operations. "I'm disappointed in how we played the last 20 games of the regular season. I thought we should have had home-court advantage through the playoffs."
