Sports Illustrated: You Can Count On Him
"What are my weaknesses? Aldridge asked himself that question last spring. He was watching the playoffs at home in Dallas when ESPN flashed a scouting report on Kevin Garnett that detailed how opponents could stop the Celtics' big man. It made Aldridge ponder his own shortcomings. Aldridge had developed into a capable scorer, but too often he was pushed around in the post or jammed on the perimeter. Power moves ended in fadeaways or runners. So he made some calls and was eventually referred to Kevin Kordish, a trainer at a gym in nearby Southlake. Kordish usually trains football players. Aldridge told him he wanted to look like one."

Trail Blazers: Locker Room Laughs: Aldridge Clowns Camby And Matthews
"“Camby makes it look so easy, but I guess it’s not that easy,” said Aldridge of the alley-oop combo. From three lockers down Camby jabbed LaMarcus leading him to dig right back, “I give you the shout out but then you get mad at me, okay... Well maybe Camby can’t throw ‘em either.” The two laughed for a few seconds before refocusing."

Trail Blazers: Wallace Takes The Lead
"The Trail Blazers lead the NBA (by far) in alley-oop plays. They've hit on 136 of them this season. The Clippers are second with 110. Of those 136 lobs, 89 have been finished off by Aldridge. That's an amazing number. All Wallace could think about after the game, is had he delievered a better lob, Aldridge would be standing at 90 on the season."

    Columbian: Blazers Roll Past Wizards
"My mindset is easy — try to win every game" Wallace said. "You gotta come out and compete and do what you gotta do every game."

Rip City Project: Game 71 Recap: Blazers 111, Wizards 76
"Savor this one, Portland fans, because it might be the last one like it we’ll see all season. After Tuesday’s drubbing of one of the worst road teams ever in the Washington Wizards, the Blazers’ remaining home schedule looks like this: San Antonio 57-13, Oklahoma City 45-24, Dallas 49-21, (the odd man out) Golden State 30-41, LA Lakers 50-20 (pending the outcome of their marathon match-up with the Phoenix Suns), and Memphis 39-32. Yes a few of these games upcoming are against teams that have already clinched a playoff spot, and may or may not be looking to rest some guys, and one game is against the Golden State Warriors. Having said that, LA and Dallas will be fighting for the number two spot in the Western Conference, and Memphis, minus Rudy Gay, will be playing for their Playoff lives. The point of all this: there will be no more 38-point wins in the Rose Garden in 2010-11. So, like I said, savor it."

Blazersedge: Media Row Report: Blazers 111, Wizards 76
"The only real storyline for the Blazers was the continued ineffectiveness of guard Brandon Roy, who looked beyond deferential, taking just six shots in almost 20 minutes, making none of them. Roy finished with one point, his lowest total since Nov. 10, 2006, when he played just six minutes in his fifth career NBA game. Tonight was also the first time Roy failed to make a field goal since that game. Roy is 5-25 (20%) from the field in the four games since his special second half against the Dallas Mavericks."

    ESPN: Awards Watch
"Something has to be flawed with the All-Star selection process, because LaMarcus has emerged as a top 10 MVP candidate but wasn't chosen to the big game."

Ball Don't Lie: Just how bad is Tim Duncan’s ankle injury?
"The first round takes ages to complete. A full seven-game series could take two weeks. So we'd be looking at a Game 7 played on April 30 or so in case the Spurs struggle in their first-round series. Even with a Grade 2 sprain hampering things, Duncan should be alive and kickin' five weeks from now. Assuming the Spurs get to five weeks from now."

    ESPN: Daily Dime
"I just love the opportunity to be out there," Frye said. "People use that term 'thirsty' and I am super-thirsty all the time."
