  2. Columbian: Roy won’t make Blazers’ road trip
  3. "Blazers president Larry Miller announced Tuesday that the shooting guard will not make Portland’s pending three-game road trip, which begins Christmas Day at Golden State, and ends at Denver on Dec. 28."

  4. NBA: Resting Roy all season might be Blazers' best bet for future
  5. "I don't think Portland has the slightest of chances to win the championship," said Webber, a former All-Star and current analyst for NBA TV. "I wish he would take the rest of the year off and get healthy. I think it would be a better investment for the Portland team because there are no guarantees. If you're not going to win this year, then what are you guaranteeing?"

  6. Blazersedge: Transcript: ESPN's Ric Bucher Talks Trades, Roy, Miller, Cho On 1080 AM
  7. "I believe this has been written about in the Portland area, Brandon saying some of the things he's said, has not sat well with the locker room in general. The question is, if you do move Andre Miller, can Brandon regain the confidence and the faith of that locker room and be the leader that he's long been there? That would be the number one question that I would have, in terms of moving Andre Miller."

  8. Hoopsworld: Portland's New Reality
  9. "Beyond this production question, there is also the point Roy is a Base-Year Contract player for this season. That makes it even more unlikely he gets moved, because he only counts as half his 2010-11 salary outgoing for Portland - $6.8 million – but the full amount incoming for the other team - $13.6 million. The deal still has to meet normal CBA requirements, meaning the salaries on both sides have to match within 125% + $100,000."

  10. Ball Don't Lie: Video: Hed'oh! Turkoglu gets stuffed by the rim on the break
  11. "C'mon, Hedo Turkoglu. I know you're feeling all spry and wiry now that you're back with the Orlando Magic — and why wouldn't you feel that way, considering how many folks seem pretty convinced you're going to start partying like it's 2007-08, like the last two years never happened? But haven't you learned anything from JaVale McGee?"

  12. SLAM: Phil Jackson: Not a Fan of Christmas Day Games
  13. "It’s like Christian holidays don’t mean anything to them anymore. Just go out and play and entertain the TV. It’s really weird … But it is what it is. We’ve got to go to work and we’ll do what we have to do to make the best of it.”

  14. ESPN: Daily Dime
  15. "Gilbert Arenas followed his 2-for-11 debut with the Orlando Magic on Monday by shooting 1-for-6 from the floor in Tuesday night's loss to Dallas. Arenas is the first NBA player to shoot less than 20 percent in each of his first two games with a team (minimum five FGA in each game) while losing both since Jacque Vaughn went 0-for-8 and 0-for-5 in his first two games for the Hawks in 2001."

  16. ESPN: Awards Watch
  17. "Let's put it this way: Love appeared on "Entourage" last season because he knew somebody or his agent had a connection. If he shows up on the show next season, it will be because he earned it himself. Even casual basketball fans are taking notice of Love's play now because he's becoming one of the better players in the league. He had another monster game on Saturday, going off for 43 points and 17 rebounds. Now if Ari Gold can help him find a way out of Minneapolis, he'll be set."

  18. Oregon Live: NBA High-5: Would-be All-Stars face obstacles to making the game despite impressive numbers
  19. "Last night, the Blazers' power forward had 29 points and a career-high 19 rebounds against Milwaukee to continue the best stretch of his career. In his last four games, Aldridge average 29.3 points and 12.8 rebounds and shot 61.8 percent from the field, prompting teammate Nicolas Batum to say, "He's playing like an All-Star. That's all I can say."
